Morris built Flush Deck Frances Hull in NJ - FREE - You Move

Post by Dave »

Sadly, I've run out of time and need to part with her. Just the stripped-out hull (no interior). Hull is solid but plywood deck is there but rotten. Just the hull/rudder - nothing else. If you want a project, let me know before I need to cut it up or give it to a lead scrapper (which I really don't want to do). Thanks - Dave six zero nine, 468 - two eight two two. SOLD / Saved - Good luck to Ben in Pa and thank you for saving her.

Lessons learned: Make sure you have access to water as sailboats are not as much fun sitting in your backyard. Make sure your project boat is on a trailer (not jack-stands) so you can take it with you to a new residence, if needed. Keep in mind that knowing how to rebuild a boat (the knowledge, the planning, the book reading, the acquisition of parts) pales in comparison to the amount of time it will take to actually rebuilt the boat - be realistic with how much time you can allocate to it.

Overall, it was a positive experience and a fun adventure!
