Head below waterline?

Head below waterline?
I'm trying to determine if the head ever gets below the heeled waterline (important to know as I rework the sanitation system). Has anyone else been through this exercise? Thanks for any advice.

Joe,
Where is your head situated?
Amidship fore the mast?
Athwartship at the mast
Athwartship at the companionway?
Of those three possibilities, i would be confident only with the amidship head

Hi Dennis, Athwartship at the mast. I sent Chuck Paine a quick inquiry and he kindly responded, with the message that it probably does go below the heeled waterline. I've since decided to go composting, and am in the process of ripping out all the old stinky plumbing.

Joe,
he is right. On any small boat, an atwartship head (or sink) is likely to go below the waterline. Only one facing fore and aft will not. Even then, I always close the sea cocks when under way.
